About Emotional Education

Every human experiences emotions. They are responsible for the highs and the lows of life. Our awareness of these emotions can be the difference between wisdom and stupidity, yet we are left to make sense of them in a society that struggles to articulate feelings, particularly those which we commonly judge as weaknesses e.g. hurt, inadequacy, powerlessness, and fear.

Becoming aware of these emotions is at the heart of emotional education, yet it is also only the beginning. It is also about how to influence our emotional processes to gain greater control of our actions and our lives.

We all experience difficulties in relationships yet are rarely given information about why we do or what to do about them when they occur. We all have feelings or situations we struggle with and are often left to find a way of dealing with them for ourselves. We all at some point feel lost or disconnected and yet there are few places we can go for guidance. Equally we have all had positive feelings only to see them fade away with little understanding of how or why we felt like that in the first place.

Emotional education provides a way of understanding ourselves and others in a deeper manner. Emotional education provides answers to many questions we have found difficulty in asking. As a result people have reported that emotional education has allowed them to manage and express their emotions more authentically, built and deepened the quality of their relationships and been able to deal with difficult situations more effectively.

With a large knowledge base from historical research on human interactions and human emotions and with research ongoing, there continues to be a need to provide an accessible way to access this information. Emotional education is this way where people are finding important insights that have helped them and their lives in many profound ways.
